1. Ready for a team wind-up?
As a member of Prairie Performance Triathlon from 2022 to 2023 you’re invited to our next beer night, where we pay for the beers! This beer night will double as our AGM.

Come out to celebrate your team’s achievements from the 2023 race season! We’re providing dinner, your first drink (a flight, a pint or a non-alcoholic beverage) and cake (good cake, none of that grocery store non-sense!). Please RSVP by Monday, September 25th @ 11:59 pm. Anyone who RSVPs after this time or neglects to RSVP will forfeit their free drink.
The idea is for this event to be more-social and less-meeting, so we are welcoming non-members for a fee of $15 (to cover drinks, food, cake). This includes those who purchased drop-in passes, spouses of members, potential members, etc. Please keep in mind that these people cannot vote on any motions during the AGM. Please RSVP. The $15 fee can be paid in cash at the AGM or by e-transfer to info@prairieperformancetriathlon.ca.
2. Nominate yourself for a board position!
We are in need of members to step up to a board position. We have four positions up for election this season:
- Vice President (2 year term)
- Secretary (2 year term)
- Director-at-Large, two available positions (2 year term)
Anyone who has been a member of Prairie Performance Triathlon for one of the last three years is eligible to be nominated for a board position.
If you’re interested in any of these positions, please submit your name and the position of interest to info@prairieperformancetriathlon.ca by September 28th @ 2:00 pm. If you have any questions regarding the positions up for election, please don’t hesitate to email us or ask a board member (Kelsey, Patrick, Christine, Clarice, Don and Jason) in person.
3. Prairie Performance Triathlon Awards Ceremony
After the AGM, we will be hosting the first ever Prairie Performance Triathlon Awards Ceremony. And we need your help to come up with some award categories. In the spirit of our team, these awards will not be your typical “athlete of the year” or “volunteer of the year” awards. Here are some of the potential award categories:
- Slowest transition of the year
- Best indoor or stationary bike crash of the year
- Best skid mark of the year (open to interpretation)
- Best heckle of the year
- Most dramatic finish line experience of the year
- Most flat tires of the year
The awards ceremony isn’t limited to these categories, so submit your own category or nominate a member for one of the listed categories! Of course, sharing pictures and stories to go along with nominations is welcomed and encouraged. You can also nominate yourself. And to entice you a bit more, we will have prizes for each category. Please submit any nominations to: info@prairieperformancetraithlon.ca by September 28th @ 2:00 pm.
4. Triathlon Manitoba AGM & Award Ceremony
It’s that time of year again – time to nominate your teammates for all of the awesome things they did this season! The nominations aren’t hard to fill out and they can be found on the Triathlon Manitoba website under “Nomination Form” (https://www.triathlonmanitoba.ca/results-awards/). Last year, PPT cleaned up at the award ceremony, so let’s keep the momentum going! If you need assistance filling out nominations, feel free to contact the board. We hope to see you all at the AGM and Awards Dinner!
This year we have athletes that fit the description for the following awards:
- Age Group Athlete of the Year
- Rookie Athlete of the Year
- Most Improved Athlete of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Official of the Year
- Coach of the Year
The AGM and Awards Dinner is on October 17th. Pay attention to the TriMB social media pages for information on when you can purchase tickets!
